twenty two.

I have clear memories of doing certain projects when I was in elementary school:

*Science fair projects:
-I was trying to determine how much your sense of smell has to do with your sense of taste.  People took bites of different foods with their noses plugged and eyes shut and they had to tell me what the food was.  I don't remember the outcome of the project, but I do remember feeding people raw potatoes and onions... nasty!
-How bad are different drinks for your teeth?  I "borrowed" some pulled teeth from an oral surgeon (gross... I know), put each one in a different drink, and left them for a week or two.  The result?  The green drinks (like Mtn. Dew) were by far the worst, followed by the brown cola drinks (Coke, Dr. Pepper).  It was a disgusting but interesting project!

*People projects:
-I did a report on Charles Schultz, the creator of the Peanuts cartoon strip.  I dressed up like him and drew all of the characters and had to give some sort of speech as if I was him.
-I also did a report on Beethoven.  I made a bust out of clay (I still have it from the 3rd grade) and even wrote my own song!  I know it's around somewhere... I'll have to find it and see if it's any good!
