When I was 9 years old I went to basketball camp in Bakersfield, CA. My aunt is a college basketball coach there, so after one of our family reunions she drove my cousin and I back to California for a week! I remember my dad gave me $20 in spending money for that week and I was so excited! On the way to CA we stopped in Vegas and had dinner at a casino and I thought we were pretty awesome.
It was fun spending time with my aunt and cousin for the week... although it was confirmed to me how bad at basketball I was! I distinctly remember wanting to show my aunt how good my lay-up was: I grabbed the ball and ran straight for the basket. I'm pretty sure I made the shot, but then she kindly reminded me that the most important part of a lay-up is to dribble the ball. I felt dumb!
The worst part of the whole trip was that I had to fly back to Utah by myself. I was completely terrified... I had never flown at all and I had to fly by myself for the first time. I was crying beforehand because I was so nervous that nobody would be at the airport to pick me up and I would be stranded. Now 15 years later I can buy my ticket, drive to the airport, check in, fly... do the whole thing myself! And all without crying, too!

Natalie-I'm loving this count down! It makes me want to do one of my own. Except I don't think I'm creative or daring enough to find all those things to say about myself!
