one.

I feel like I need to start with a bang... something exciting for number one. But really, I don't think it matters all that much, so I'm just going to dive in with the random thoughts.

Remember the show "Rescue 911" from back in the day with William Shatner? I loved this show. But I'm pretty sure I have some underlying issues that can all be traced back to watching it. The show was on the air when I was between the ages of 4-11 years old... the ages during which I was curious and my mind was easily molded.

I have always been nervous driving next to semi-trucks on the freeway. Mostly because it feels like they will change lanes right into the side of my car, but I especially have a fear of driving under an overpass while next to a semi. Got that? I'm pretty sure I saw an episode where a truck was too tall for the overpass. The material being carried on the truck was knocked off and fell onto the car next to the truck. Scary, right? So in my mind, this is what will happen to me.

Ask most anyone I know... I am afraid to ride ski lifts or trams or anything of the sort. I remember an episode where the ski lift broke down and the passengers had to shimmy across the cable (very high off the ground!) to the nearest pole in order to get down. No thank you.

I also remember an episode where a girl got her foot stuck in a toilet. The firemen had to bring the whole toilet out onto the driveway, foot and all, and smash it with sledgehammers in order to free the little girl's foot. I don't have a fear of this, just a very clear memory of it!

Thank you, Rescue 911.

wow! Me too!! I loved the show but still have fears of things I saw on there. I'm still very cautious when I'm on an escalator and I get to the end...a little boy got his shoe lace caught in there and, in my 5 or 6 year old mind, it ate him up! lol I think he just got stuck but it scared me.
I'm excited to learn more random things about you! :)

I'm glad none of those things happened to you. I was worried where this was going.

For real, though. One night, Lori and I were driving on I-15, right after we bought the silver bullet. There was a semi in front of us, with a dump truck on a flatbed. Apparently he was too tall for the overpass, because when he hit it, it showered sparks like a ... well, it was a lot of sparks.

I have to admit, my first thought wasn't "Oh, good thing Natals wasn't right next to that semi." but that thought is definitely going through my head now.

I don't remember that show, but I also have a fear of driving next to semi trucks, they are so big and it feels like they could run over you at any second. When I have to pass one I wait until I can get all the way past and then hurry and speed past.
