eighteen.

I am terrified of heights.
I have no problem flying in planes, but once I am closer to the ground and have the possibility of falling, I start to freak out!  As I already mentioned once, I absolutely hate riding on ski lifts, trams, ferris wheels, the Sky Ride at Lagoon... you get my drift.

Just some experiences to get my point across:

-When I was very young (probably 3 years old) I rode on a hot air balloon.  I actually don't remember anything about the ride except that I lied flat on the floor of the gondola and peeked out of a little foot hole because I was too scared to stand up!

-In more recent years... after riding the trams in both Juneau, Alaska and Albuquerque, New Mexico I was nauseous and shaking like a leaf once we made it to the top of the mountains.  It didn't help when the tour guide in NM kept making comments that we were on the longest tram in the world and that we were 1000 feet off the ground.  That's a long way to fall!

-There is an overpass here in CA that is insanely high off the ground... I've never seen anything like it!  When my mom and sister were here, we were joking that it looks like it's out of War of the Worlds or something.  Anyways, we were nervous driving across it and had to distract ourselves to not think about how high in the air we were!
