Coffee Table Tray

Last year I bought an unfinished wood tray from Wal-Mart for about $5, painted it black and sanded the edges down a little.  I've used this for remotes, little plants, coasters... whatever usually goes on my coffee table {sorry for the bad picture}:

 

I've always thought it seemed a little plain, so tonight I updated it with a some scrapbook paper and a fresh coat of Mod Podge:

The paper's a little wrinkly because I didn't let the first coat of Mod Podge dry before putting on the second coat {the remotes are in the picture for a reason... to cover up the flaws!}, but I think it turned out really cute!
