On Wednesday we made our way back into the city to see Jon's beloved Blake Griffin play some basketball!
We got to the Staples Center plenty early so we take it all in... there were fun things both inside and outside the building.
The most exciting part of our night was when Emilee looked over and saw Jeremy Howard sitting down the row from us (he's in Sydney White, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Galaxy Quest, and Accepted)! Of course we made our way over to him to get a picture and he was so nice. Emilee was literally jumping up and down for joy that she saw a celebrity while she was in California!
ClipPercussion is the Clippers' half-time show drumline. They were outside afterward playing songs for everyone and having a great time. It was really fun watching them!
It was definitely an adventure driving home. We decided to go explore the city a little, but now I know I would not recommend driving through downtown L.A. at 11:00 pm. The streets seemed deserted except for all of the homeless tents and even cardboard boxes. We were pretty nervous but laughing at the same time at what we got ourselves into. We got out of that situation quickly and will never do it again!
