Bookstores are one of my favorite places to be. And I love them even more when they are having sales! The Borders store near where I live is closing, and I've watched the signs in the windows changing slowly from 20% off to 60% off. I just couldn't wait any longer, so I stopped in yesterday. It was a little strange because literally everything was on sale... furniture, dishes from the cafe, plus the regular merchandise. The store was pretty picked over, but after browsing through everything, I came out with a few finds:
Lark & Termite by Jayne Anne Phillips, Lipstick in Afghanistan by Roberta Gately, Pope Joan by Donna Woolfolk Cross, and the new David Archuleta CD - The Other Side of Down... all at least 50% off. Pope Joan is actually the only of these books that I've heard of, but I'm excited to read them all!
{p.s. - my camera broke (post to come), so cell phone pictures are all I have these days...}

I really liked Pope Joan - even though it took me forever to read.
