So I mentioned a few days ago that one of my goals for this year is to read at least one book per month. I'm proud to say that I finished my first book last night, with 5 days to spare for this month!
Book #1:
A Train to Potevka
by Mike Ramsdell
Book #1:
A Train to Potevka

I really enjoyed this book. Mike Ramsdell was an American intelligence agent in Russia during the Cold War and this book is loosely based on his experiences there. He writes about his ride along the 6,000-mile Trans-Siberian Railway and the people he meets along the way. He is from Bear River, Utah and writes occasionally from an LDS perspective and references his LDS mission. It's not the type of book I would typically read, but I felt like I learned a lot and at the same time it was really easy to read.

I'm acquainted with a Mike Ramsdell and his family from Bear River, Utah. Now I'm intrigued. Our Mike would have to be the next generation.
