I need help!

So I got the idea to write about this from my sister, but I need some advice! I've gotten to the point that I'm getting kind of sick of my hair and I want to do something different to it. My hair is naturally wavy/curly, but it is not consistent all over, so it always takes a lot of effort to make it look somewhat okay. So lately I've had the thought of getting a loose perm to make my hair a little more consistently curly. I know there are some of you who read my blog who know a lot more about hair than I do, so I just want to ask what your opinions are on this?? I am really due for a haircut anyway, so I was thinking about maybe doing this while I'm in for the cut. I have never colored or permed or done anything to my hair except for cut it, so I think my hair is pretty healthy (except for that fact that I use a straightener regularly on it). Anyways, just leave a comment if you have anything good or bad to tell me about getting a perm! I have a hard time making the decision for myself, if you can't tell! Oh, and this is the only recent picture I could find of my hair like this... it's a pretty bad picture, but I guess it gets the point across of what my hair kind of looks like!

Here's my two cents...I don't think you'll like a perm. A) they stink when your hair is wet B)it can be really damaging to your hair C) I pity the person who has to do it for you! :) j/k As I remember you have A LOT of hair! But on the other hand it would be cute, you could still straighten it if you wanted to, and the good news is you're not in humidity so it won't be frizzy! I think you should try some color! That would be awesome! Ok didn't mean to write a book but there you go. Love ya!! good luck:)

A perm might be cool. But I haven't had one since I was probably 8, so I'm not sure if I'm the best source.

Hey Natalie! Here is my two cents.........think long and hard about getting a perm before you do it. I think if you do it, do it with the very biggest perm rods you can. My sister in law actually did that becuse she has funky curly hair just so she could have consistant curl and it worked out great for her!! I think you would be safe to do it without damaging your hair because I think it's very healthy (unless it has gotten really bad since the last time I saw you). And it is true, you can still straighten it too. I'm with the girl who posted 1st, I think you should get highlights or something!!!!! So there is my opinion!:)
