Do you remember a few weeks ago when I wrote about trying to learn how to drive a stick shift? Well, just as I honestly thought I was getting the hang of it, this is what happened to that car:
My brother had been driving this car to work & school every day, and a few weeks ago he was on his was to his math class when traffic suddenly stopped on Redwood Road. He swerved out of the way to avoid hitting the car in front of him. This would have worked, except for the fact that a Tahoe from behind hit him and also pushed him into the car that he was swerving to miss. After a few weeks of him having to call insurance companies and towing companies, the Tahoe's insurance company sent a check in exchange for the title of the car. So this Honda Accord that I was trying to learn to love driving is no longer in the picture. We are back to square one in trying to find a car that I can take up to school in a month. So if anyone knows of any cars for sale (particularly a Toyota Corolla or a Honda), let me know! And I am still resorting to driving my car, good ol'
Blue Dart (as my Old Farm roommates nicknamed it)... that name might give you a idea of the condition that car is in! I actually don't mind driving it, even though it is pretty ugly. I just hope it still lasts for a while longer until something better comes along!
