Winner Winner!

Today I got an exciting and unexpected phone call! The phone call went something like this:

Me: Hello?

Man: Hi Natalie? This is Tom... I am calling to let you know about a promotion you entered.
Me: Oh really? (Trying to remember entering any contests...)
Man: Yes. When you were recently in Alaska, at one of the jewelry stores you visited you filled out a card to win a Florida Caribbean vacation. Is your contact information still correct? (he read me my address, etc.)
Me: Yes that's right.
Man: Well, you entered the contest at just the right time, because it ended in July. I would like to let you know that your name was selected to win the vacation! Congratulations!
Me: Are you kidding me?!? (My mom is listening to this conversation, wondering why I am getting so excited. I can't believe I just won a free vacation!!)
Man: Well... you were in Alaska on June 3, were you not? In the excitement of entering the jewelry store, you must have forgotten to enter some important information on the card. Are you between the ages of 26-72 years old?
Me: ...No... I'm 23. (Uh oh. My excitement is starting to dwindle at this point...)
Man: Oh. Are you married by chance?
Me: ...No... I'm single. (I can see my chances at this vacation are fading quickly...)
Man: Oh. Well if you were married I could have dropped the age requirement a little bit. I still would like to congratulate you for winning a Florida Caribbean vacation AT AN 80% DISCOUNT (What?!? That was not mentioned before. I thought this was a FREE vacation)! Sorry, but the promotion I am working with is only for the 26-72 age group. But I will gladly pass along your information to the promotion working with your age group!
Me: Okay thank you. BYE. (All excitement is gone... now I am just bugged that he got my hopes up and I had to pause the finale of my favorite TV show.)

I honestly look older than I am... does that count? That's ok. I didn't want to go to the Caribbean anyway.
