I am SO glad April is over. For whatever reason, it was really hard for me to stay motivated... pretty much this whole month. So I didn't do so great on my goals, which is why I'm so happy today starts a new month!
I saw this floating around Facebook and Pinterest and just had to laugh! I was immediately taken back to 7th grade, sitting in the school cafeteria with my friends and trying to learn the lyrics to the latest N'SYNC song. Yes, we were die-hard fans.
Here's a recap on my April goals, if you care to read:
1. Lose weight each week (this will be tough over Spring Break!)
Ha! I don't know why I decided to make this goal... why I thought it would be realistic. Normally it would be, but I went home for Spring break and basically went into vacation mode! I gained weight that week, but then tried to kick it into gear again once I got back. So the overall month wasn't so great. I gained 1.2 pounds, but did lose 2.1 inches.
2. Register for a 5k race.
My sister, aunt, and I (and maybe others!) will be running the Hobbler 5k on July 7! This will be my first race... I'm a little nervous but mostly excited! I'm also hoping to run the Bountiful Handcart Days 5k on July 21, but haven't signed up yet for it.
3. Complete Points Challenge.
Once again, I'm blaming April for messing this one up. It was a tough month. I probably won't do this again in May, but I will definitely do it again sometime!
4. Index 400 names.
4. Index 400 names.
This is something I really enjoy doing. I was behind at the beginning of the month, but I took 2 sick days from work last week because of an eye infection... which meant I was home watching movies and indexing! So I met my goal and indexed 405 names this month!
5. Attend the temple at least once.
I was planning on going to Fresno again, but plans fell through. So unfortunately I wasn't able to go to the temple the month. Next month!

6. Read one book, listen to one audio book.
I did a lot of driving this month since I drove to Utah and back! So this month I listened to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (#7):
and Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand (this book is AMAZING, by the way):

and I read The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne:
7. Whiten teeth.
I took a 'before' picture, but I'm not too thrilled about a picture of my teeth floating around the internet. I haven't finished the box of Crest whitening strips I've been using, so maybe once I finish I'll post before and afters!
