So it's been a month since I last wrote, and things have been super busy. Since I last wrote, I moved from California back to Utah. I went on two really fun vacations, and stopped in or drove through California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Mexico, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana! I will update on those fun trips soon... but before I let today pass by I just want to update my monthly resolutions (more for my own benefit)! So here's what I did in June:
1. Lose weight.
Like I mentioned above, this month was a little crazy! After 2 weeks of being on vacation, I can say that I did lose 4.2 pounds, which I am happy with, even though it's not much for a whole month.
2. Run for 30 minutes without stopping.
I got SO close to this one!! While I was on my cruise, I ran for 28 minutes on the cruise ship. But since then, I have only been running outside since I don't have a treadmill. This is much harder for me... but the other day I did run 1.88 miles outside without stopping! I know it's really nothing compared to how far some people can go, but it was the best I have done. It wasn't the 30 minutes, but it was still an accomplishment for me! As for my miles, this month I ran/walked 24.12 miles, 5.71 on the elliptical, and 2.03 on the bike.
3. Go to temple.
I finally was able to go to the temple on June 30... talk about putting it off until the last day! I went with my brother Mike and his wife Chloe to the Bountiful, Utah temple. They were actually a little bit late, so we ended up just meeting up at the end and going to Zupas (yummm!!) for lunch afterward.
4. Read at least 10 General Conference talks.
My sister and I have been doing a summer wellness challenge that is based on a points system. One of the points you can earn each day is from reading an something uplifting for 15 minutes. So I've actually read more than 10 talks, but I've loved reading them every day! It's been great to remember the uplifting messages that we heard last April.
