Ensenada Cruise

Four days after I moved back from California, we loaded up the car and headed down to southern Cali (on Thursday June 14).  My mom, sisters Heidi and Lori, and I drove to Las Vegas and stayed the night at the South Pointe resort.  This place was huge!  It had a casino, movie theater, pool, equestrian center, and 6 restaurants.  It was pretty nice (except for having to walk through the smoky casino to get to our room) and we got it for a great deal!

Friday morning we drove the rest of the way to Long Beach, CA, where we met up with my aunt Paula, aunt Mylie, and uncle John for our cruise to Ensenada! So, nobody actually told me what Ensenada would be like.  I packed with the idea in mind that we were going to a beach location... definitely not the case.  Ensenada was basically full of street shops and very touristy.  It was fun, but just not what I a

I was lazy and I didn't take one single picture from my own camera on this trip, so I am stealing these all from my sister Lori's blog:

Heidi just off the ship in Ensenada... you can't really see them, but there are a bunch of sea lions on those rocks behind her:

There were plenty of sunglasses to try on at the street shops.  We tried on the biggest sunglasses we could find!

This was our Sunday morning devotional in my mom and Paula's room.  I don't think I've ever laughed so hard but also had such a great feeling there in the room!

This was our formal dinner...

We had some great towel animals in our room, but this was by far our favorite:

One of the fun things on the ship was the live karaoke band.  Lori and Heidi and I sang a song each night.  Here we are singing "Rolling in the Deep" by Adele.  Not a great quality video, but you get the idea.  The best part of this was that once we were up on stage we couldn't see anyone in the audience because the lights were so bright!  And the band was so loud that we literally could not hear ourselves singing... I just remember thinking "I really hope I'm singing on key!"
