Fun in L.A.

A few weeks ago, on their way home from an amazing vacation to New Zealand and the Cook Islands, my sister Heidi and her husband Steve had a 9-hour layover in Los Angeles, so we made it a point to match up for the day!

I picked them up from the airport and first we headed to the Griffith Observatory:

We had never been there, so we didn't quite know what to expect - except that I had heard it was just a cool place.  There were a lot of people there, but I think it was worth it just to see the views of the city:

Steve took a little nap while Heidi and I learned about the universe...

We then headed to the L.A. Temple Visitors' Center and walked around the temple.

Sadly they wanted to go see their children at home, but it was so fun to hang out with them for a day!
