August Resolutions

I feel like I'm not getting very creative with these goals each month... I'm doing a lot of the same things each month.  But I guess that's ok, right?  So for those who may be reading this, sorry if you are bored!

1. Lose weight.  My birthday is in 48 days from today... so I made up a calendar to try and do these things each day until then: (1) No sweets/soda, (2) exercise 30+ minutes, (3) drink 64 ounces of water, (4) No food after 8:30 pm, (5) keep a food journal.

2. Charge-Up Challenge. I heard about this at church on Sunday and decided to join in.  The point is that we are all so focused on keeping in touch with our friends and family through our phones that we forget to do some of most important things.  The challenge is to charge your phone 1 minute for each minute of the following you do: attend church, attend temple, read scriptures, pray, etc.  Here is the tracking sheet I made up if you want to join!

3. Attend the temple.

4. Read one book.

Natalie! for your food journal you should try out LoseIt.com. My family and I use it daily for this family-wide "lifestyle change" where we're all just trying to eat healthier and a few people are trying to shed some pounds. It just helps you to be AWARE of the calorie content of the foods you eat. It's great! Feel free to search for me and add me as a friend. Just use my email if you have it, if not my name should work too. Keep on rockin' those goals! I wish I read and attended the temple more than I do... hmm, maybe it's time I start writing my goals down. :)
