Last weekend I had my last big hurrah before moving back to Utah. I went with my friend Heidi to the Tim McGraw concert! Lady Antebellum and Love & Theft opened the show. I was actually most excited to see Lady A in concert and they didn't disappoint! But once Tim McGraw came out on stage it was really awesome. There is a huge difference between the big time performers and the opening acts! I don't know a lot of his new music, but I LOVE his old stuff. He definitely puts on a good show.
Heidi had never been to concert before so I had to show her a good time! It was funny because we were planning to go for several weeks, but ended up not getting tickets until the day of the concert. It was at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino. I had never been to an outdoor venue before and it was a little strange... I felt like I was at Woodstock or something. We were on the lawn and there were SO MANY people drinking beer and smoking cigarettes every where around us which was disgusting (that's not only the outdoor venue, but just a difference from a Utah concert too!). By the end of the night my throat was so sore from screaming, singing, and inhaling all that second-hand smoke.
Despite the fact that we had to walk like a mile from the car to the amphitheater, we were REALLY far away from the stage, and the air got smokier and smokier as the night went on, we still had an amazing time... we even got T-shirts after the show for a super good deal. I am a people-watcher so I had fun watching everyone around us and all of the bands were amazing live. It was an awesome night!
