Questions #2 and #3

"I want to know what you plan on doing once you graduate."

Once I finish the semester, I will walk in the graduation ceremony in May... but I won't technically be graduated yet. This summer I have to complete my externship before I can graduate. If you are wondering what an externship is, it's ok! I didn't know how it was different from an internship, so I had to look it up. An externship is a required amount of time spent off campus and under supervision. I will do mine at a place in Orem, UT, working with kids birth to 3 years old in the Early Intervention program. I think I will also be doing some work with pediatric dysphagia... or in English terms, kids with feeding problems! One of my friends went to this same place last summer and absolutely loved it, so I am really excited!! I really love little kids, so I think it will be lots of fun. After that 8 weeks is finished, then I can actually get my degree and then I have to look for a real job! That's still too far away in my book, so I haven't even started looking for a job yet. But I'm considering working in a school district somewhere. I'll let you know when I've figured that out!

"I want to know what your favorite musical is and why..."

First of all, I REALLY love musicals! I've pretty much enjoyed every one I've seen. But I have narrowed it down to two... sorry, I couldn't choose one! My favorite movie musical is definitely "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers." It is an old one, but the music is so catchy and I love the dancing! I have always loved this musical, and a couple summers ago I was the rehearsal accompanist for this show at the Amphitheater by my house in Utah. So that added to my love for the show! These are my favorite clips from the movie. The first one is the barn dance scene and it has some really amazing dancing and tumbling tricks... I never get sick of it! The second clip is the Sobbin' Women clip. And I like it because it's just a fun song! (I couldn't find a good clip, so just click on the link for the clip).

The other musical I know I would love is "Wicked." I've never actually seen it, but I listen to the soundtrack ALL the time and I absolutely love the music! I pretty much have all the songs memorized. My family tried to get tickets to the Salt Lake City show, but it was sold out. I guess I will just have to take a trip somewhere so I can see it!

It's coming down here to Az this summer in July, Natalie!! Let's go!!! Sam and I went to it in LA. YOU MUST GO! It is so good and fun! Treat yourself or go with friends or family to LA and see it there, if not here! You could make it a graduation present to yourself or ??? Anyway, you remember at the reunion how I was totally into it (we'd just gone and seen it a few weeks before!!).
I want to go see it again so bad!!
