Busy, busy...

After today, I think I can say that my summer routine is finally in full swing! I work every day at an anesthesia billing office doing clerical work, and two days a week I will be doing an internship at a speech and language private clinic. My job is pretty easy because I have worked there during previous summers, so after a quick refresher course I was good to go. I started my internship this morning. My supervisor just had me observing her doing therapy with the kids (there were 3 that came in today), and starting next week I will be doing my own therapy! I'm kind of nervous for that, but I'm sure it will be great. I've also realized that therapy is WAY different in the real world than in the university clinic setting! At school, it's a lot more work, with really detailed planning and report writing. At my internship, my supervisor just plans for each kid as they come in, and she spends about one minute writing notes about her sessions! It's kind of nice, but it will definitely take some getting used to. Hopefully I will like like it and it will be a good experience!
